Gas prices go up in Nova Scotia on Friday

By Dan Ahlstrand

Drivers in Nova Scotia are paying more to fill up their gas tank this morning.

The provincial regulator has used its weekly adjustment to raise the price by 6.2 cents to 174.1.

Just two days after using the interrupter clause to raise diesel prices, regulated prices fell by two cents at midnight to a new minimum of 201.7.

One year ago we were paying 1.23 for gasoline, 1.12 for diesel.

Oil was trading at $61.35 U.S. per barrel, just over $42 less than Thursday's closing price of 103.79.
