Greenwood based Canadian Armed Forces member charged with sexual assault

GREENWOOD, N.S. - A Canadian Armed Forces member has been charged with sexual assault stemming from an incident in September 2014.

The alleged incident took place when the accused was a student at the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario and it involves another member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Captain Richard Harding, a member of 405 Maritime Patrol Squadron at 14 Wing Greenwood in Nova Scotia, faces one count of sexual assault and one count of disgraceful conduct, both of which are punishable under the National Defence Act.

The matter is now proceeding in accordance with the military justice system for possible court martial at a date and location still to be determined.
