If you haven't already done so, it's time to find your shovel, boots and snow brush.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement saying the first significant snowfall of the season is on the way.

A deepening low pressure system is expected to track south of the province on Wednesday evening.

It's still too early for exact details, but we could possibly be in for more than 15 cms late Wednesday and into Thursday.

“There remains considerable uncertainty with regards to the track of the low, however at this time the highest snowfall amounts are expected along the Atlantic coast,” Environment Canada said at around 4 p.m. Monday.
