Halifax Police investigating Dartmouth stabbing

Halifax Police are investigating a stabbing that happened in Dartmouth on Friday evening.

At 11:45. officers were called to the area of Gaston Road and Portland Street after reports of a male being stabbed.

Police discovered a 23 year old male with serious but non life threatening injuries, who was transferred to hospital.

The incident is being investigated by the Integrated General Investigative Section of the Criminal Investigations Division, and police do not believe it was a random act of violence.

Police are looking to speak with people who were in the area of Gaston Road and Portland Street last night.
