The International Fly-Fishing Film Festival takes place March 25

If you love fishing and you love film, the ideal event is coming to Halifax later this month.

The Halifax Central Library will host the 2023 International Fly Fishing Film Festival on March 25.

Featuring ten short and feature-length films, the unique event will feature such titles as Dollar Dog. This Cape Breton story follows a pup whose passion for fishing along the Margaree River rivals her hip-waded human counterparts.

Along with the fishy films, attendees can win fly-fishing-related prizes and a grand prize.

The Nova Scotia Salmon Association hosts the two-hour event at 7 p.m.
