By CityNews Halifax Staff

Police have arrested a man on warrants connected to failing to attend court.

Halifax Regional Police say about 9:40 p.m. on March 7, officers took Jason Patrick Salter into custody for failing to attend court concerning a drug trafficking charge.

The charge stems from a search conducted at an address in Halifax on May 4, 2022, by investigators in the Drug Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.

Investigators seized quantities of cocaine and cash and arrested eight people, including Salter, at the scene.

All eight people were charged with one count each of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

The 48-year-old was set to appear in Halifax provincial court yesterday.
