Halifax Transit driver ticketed in crash that left pedestrian with serious injuries

A Halifax Transit bus driver has been ticketed in a crash late last week that sent a pedestrian to hospital.

Halifax Regional Police say the bus was headed inbound on Portland Street nearing Highway 111 just before 7:30 p.m. Friday when it collided with a woman.

The 52-year-old was rushed to hospital with what were described at the time as life-threatening injuries.

A 48-year-old female bus driver has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
