Highway 101 has reopened in the New Minas-area after being shut down between Exit 11 and 12.
RCMP were called to a two-vehicle crash just after 10 a.m. near the Exit 12 eastbound on-ramp.
They say one vehicle was a brown SUV which flipped over onto its roof in the middle of the highway. The driver, a man in his 40s, was seriously injured.
A man in his 20s was driving the second vehicle, a silver sedan that ended up in a ditch. Mounties don't know the extent of his injuries, but he was taken to hospital.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
