MacKay Bridge reopens following crash that sent two to hospital (update)

The MacKay Bridge has reopened following a crash that sent two people to hospital.

Halifax Regional Police responded to a multi-vehicle collision just before 6 a.m. Tuesday.

They say two people were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

As of 9:45 a.m., police say the bridge has reopened, however collision reconstructionists continue to investigate.

The bridge shutdown resulted in several traffic delays for morning commuters.
