Halifax Harbour Bridges (HHB) says the Macdonald and MacKay bridges have reopened.

Fiona brought hurricane-force winds to Halifax overnight.

Both spans shut down during the storm, and HHB crews needed to do a safety inspection of the bridges before they could reopen.

On Twitter, HHB said they recorded a 136 km/h wind gust on the Macdonald and a 147.6 km/h on the MacKay.
