Man charged after being found in Halifax home

By Dan Ahlstrand

Halifax Regional Police were called to a home near the Halifax Common Saturday night after a report of a man being unlawfully inside their home.

Officers arrived on the scene on Bauer Street around 9:35 p.m., but the suspect had already left the residence.

Police caught up with the man a short time later and took him into custody without incident.

HRP believe that the man had entered the home while the residents were inside, and when they confronted him, he fled the scene.

As a result, 51-year-old Arthur Charles Neish has been charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling.
