Man charged with stunting after driving 60 km/h over speed limit

SABLE RIVER, N.S. – A man has been charged with stunting after driving 60 km/h over the speed limit in Sable River.

Shortly before noon on Saturday, Shelburne RCMP stopped a 2014 Mercedes-Benz for driving 160 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on Highway 103.

In addition to having his driver's licence suspended and vehicle seized, the 39-year-old man from Halifax was charged for stunting under the Provincial Motor Vehicle Act. 

The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2422.50.
