By Chris Halef

BAIE-COMEAU, QC. – The Halifax Mooseheads snapped a three game losing streak Sunday night, defeating the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 5-4 at Centre Henry-Leonard.

Xavier Parent gave Halifax a 1-0 lead with his 12th goal of the season to close out the opening frame.

But the Drakkar bounced back in the second as Nathan Legare and Ivan Chekhovich netted a pair to make it 2-1.

Arnaud Durandeau eventually tied things up but not long before Chekhovich found the back of Halifax's net again to make it 3-2.

Jake Ryczek opened up the third period with his 6th of the season, with Legare answering back with his second of the evening.

After that, Raphael Lavoie and Ben Higgins scored back-to-back goals to give Halifax the 5-4 win, snapping their losing streak.

On Tuesday, the Mooseheads head to Rimouski to take on the Oceanic.
