Mooseheads head to Bathurst to take on Titan Wednesday night

By CityNews Halifax Staff

The Halifax Mooseheads are back in action Wednesday night after picking up a win at home in their regular season opener last week.

The Herd started their regular season off on high note Saturday night, winning in overtime at home over the Cape Breton Eagles.

Markus Vidicek netted the game winner as the Mooseheads edged out their provincial rivals 5-4.

Following their victory, Halifax assistant coach Brad MacKenzie told CityNews they're using every game as a chance to get better.

“You'll see players that will find their roles in those first 20 games and they'll start to slide into certain spots and be comfortable and we expect to just continue to grow as a group,” he said.

They're now back in action Wednesday night for their first road game of the regular season, taking on the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

The Titan are currently sitting on top of the Maritimes Division but Bathurst has played three games so far, the most out of any team in the division.

They're coming off a 5-3 win over the Moncton Wildcats on Sunday and currently boast a 1-1-1 record.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m. and you can catch all the action with play-by-play man Garreth MacDonald live on CityNews 95.7.
