Mooseheads open regular season Friday in Cape Breton

By Mark Hodgins

It's game day for the Halifax Mooseheads.

The team will be back on the ice Friday night to open the regular season with a game against the Eagles in Cape Breton.

The QMJHL is aiming for a more “normal” regular season this year, after COVID-19 wreaked havoc on the past two seasons.

Teams are scheduled to play a full slate of games against opponents from all regions in which the league operates.

The Mooseheads will host Cape Breton on Saturday night in the home opener. Scotiabank Centre will be at full capacity, though proof of vaccination and masks will be required.

Friday's game against the Eagles starts at 7 p.m., and as always you can listen to it live on NEWS 95.7.
