The second period was all Mooseheads, as Moynihan, Benoit Olivier-Groulx, Raphael Lavoie, Filip Zadina and Otto Somppi all scored to give Halifax a 9-3 lead.

Zadina and Somppi eached scored their second goals of the evening in the third to extend Halifax's lead. Casey Cox and James Phelan also scored a pair for Moncton making it 11-5 for Halifax.

Groulx scored his second of the evening to end the night and help Halifax set a franchise record for most goals ever scored on home ice with 12 goals.

On Monday, the Mooseheads are back in action when they welcome the Rimouski Oceanic to the Scotiabank Centre.
