As mentioned above, the NSCAD Winter Art and Craft Market continues Saturday.

In addition, the Mom Market's Winter Wonderland-themed market goes from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Halifax Brewery Farmers Market, where you'll find local vendors and live music.

And the Middle Sackville Christmas Parade goes Saturday evening. Expect traffic delays in the area from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

HRM says the parade will start at 569 Lakecrest Drive and head south, turn left onto Rhodora Drive, right onto Rosemary Dive, right onto Arrowhead Drive, right onto Lylewood Drive, then finish after turning right onto Lakecrest Drive.

Sunday, December 11

The Halifax Club will host a holiday pop-up market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes hot cider, festive treats and snacks, along with live music.

And there are a couple of Christmas parades.

The Eastern Passage Parade of Lights goes Sunday evening.

HRM says to expect traffic delays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. as it starts at Fisherman’s Cove, turns left onto Shore Road, left onto Main Road and finishes at the Royal Canadian Legion at 1341 Main Road.

And the Beaver Bank Holiday Parade is expected to delay traffic in that community from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

It starts at 224 Beaver Bank Road, then goes north to Kinsac Road, ending in the elementary school driveway.

Ongoing

There are also several events that are ongoing.

The Evergreen Festival continues with light displays throughout Halifax and Dartmouth, an open-air market along the Halifax waterfront, and plenty of events, including live performances courtesy of the Halifax Jazz Festival Evergreen Stage Series. This weekend there are also open ship tours of HMCS Summerside.

In downtown Halifax, you'll also find the ongoing light displays at Halifax City Hall and the Halifax Public Gardens.

This weekend at the former Halifax Memorial Library at Grafton Park, in addition to the holiday projection, you'll find a “Halifax Explosion Light Show” in honour of Tuesday's 105th anniversary of the historic event. They run back-to-back from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night with a three minute intermission between showings.

The holiday projection show on Old Dartmouth City Hall goes until Christmas.

There's an animated display of the horses of Sable Island in the Clean Foundation's windows at 122 Portland Street. It runs daily from noon until 10 p.m. until January 1.
