A new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed by Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health on the University of Guelph main campus.
The date of the confirmed positive case was Tuesday. The risk to the university community is deemed low.
It is not released if the case was a student or a staff member. PUblic Health will contact anyone deemed to be at risk.
There have been a total of five cases at the University of Guelph, four on the main campus and one at its Ridgetown Campus.
Single cases confirmed Oct. 5 and Oct. 1 remain active along with the new case. Two other cases have been resolved.
