Service Nova Scotia says they partnered with the RCMP to seize a 'significant amount' illegal tobacco on Monday.
They say during a traffic stop in Bedford, they seized a vehicle and 110,000 contraband cigarettes, with an estimated provincial tax value of more than $30,000 and a federal tax value of $23,000.
A 28-year-old Ottawa man has been charged and will stay in custody until his court date on January 5th.
They ask anyone with information about illegal tobacco to contact police or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
