One dead after crash near Falmouth (update)

According to police the crash involved a tractor trailer and a half-ton truck

RCMP are now providing more details about a crash early Tuesday that claimed the life of a young man near Falmouth.

Emergency crews were called to Highway 101 near Exit 7 at around 12:25 a.m.

They say the driver of an eastbound pick-up truck lost control and veered sideways into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer.

The 22-year-old man who was driving the pick-up truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer wasn't physically hurt.

The highway was closed for several hours while a collison reconstructionist analyzed the scene.

Moutnies say their investigation continues.
