Planned emergency power outage to impact ferry service three nights this month

There will be a temporary shuttle bus service in place

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents of service level adjustments for Halifax Transit ferries to accommodate a planned emergency power outage by Nova Scotia Power. 

The Halifax Ferry Terminal will be closed on the following evenings: 

  • Tuesday, August 3 from 10 p.m. onwards
  • Monday, August 9 from 8 p.m. onwards
  • Monday, August 16 from 10 p.m. onwards 

There will be a temporary shuttle bus service in place for passengers during these times between the Water Street Terminal and Alderney Gate, as well as a shuttle between the Water Street Terminal and Woodside Ferry Terminal. The shuttles will operate as close to the regularly scheduled ferry departure times as possible.
