Police charge youth for threats, brandishing knife

Police say the 17-year-old youth is scheduled to appear in Halifax youth court at a later date to face multiple charges

Regional police have charged a youth in connection to an incident in Dartmouth on Wednesday.

At roughly 2 p.m., police responded to Alderney Drive after receiving a report that a youth just threatened a group of youths and brandished a knife.

The youth was arrested a short distance away and police seized two knives.

Police say the 17-year-old youth is scheduled to appear in Halifax youth court at a later date to face multiple charges, including assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace and failing to comply with an undertaking.
