Police find loaded handguns, drugs, cash after hit and run in north end Halifax

Three people are in custody and facing charges after a woman was injured in a hit and run in north end Halifax on Thursday afternoon.

Police were called just after 2 p.m. to reports that a pedestrian and a vehicle was hit on Young Street and the driver responsible had left the scene.

Following a short investigation, three occupants of the vehicle that was also hit were arrested. 

Police say one of the occupants tried to get away but was quickly taken into custody.

Officers found two loaded handguns, knives, cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia inside the  vehicle after they were arrested.

The pedestrian was treated at the scene. The run vehicle is described as a gold coloured SUV and it hasn't been located.

24-year-old Nathaniel Dominic White of Halifax is being held in custody and is facing the following charges:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine
Possession of weapon dangerous 
Possession of a firearm without license 
Possession of a loaded restricted firearm 
Possession of a firearm contrary to order
Possession of property obtained by crime 
Breach of probation x2
Fail to comply with release order 

26-year-old Decoda Levon White of Halifax is being held in custody and is facing the following charges:     

Resist Arrest
Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
Possession of a firearm without license 
Possession of a loaded restricted firearm 
Unlawfully carrying a firearm 
Fail to comply with release order

20-year-old Mariam Al-Husseini of Halifax is being held in custody and is facing the following charges: 

Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
Possession of a firearm without license 
Possession of a loaded restricted firearm 
Unlawfully carrying a firearm
