Halifax Regional Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed a stabbing downtown early Sunday morning.

Police were called to Blowers and Argyle streets at around 4 a.m. after two men got into a fight.

When they separated the pair, they noticed one of the men had non-life threatening injuries and called EHS to take the 23-year-old to hospital.

Tony Deangelo Beals, 20, has been charged with one count each of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, causing a disturbance and resisting police.

Police say a number of bystanders were in the area when the fight occurred, and investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information.

Witnesses can contact police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
