Police looking for Tommy gun stolen from Dartmouth Legion

Halifax Regional Police are asking the public's help to try and track down a collector Thompson machine gun and magazine stolen from a Royal Canadian Legion branch in Dartmouth.

The historic firearm had been in a glass case screwed to a brick wall in the front lobby of the building at 54 King Street.

The approximately 90-year-old gun and magazine  are not operational and were for display purposes only.

Police say it was taken sometime between 7 p.m. on October 18th, and 7 p.m. on October 21.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
