Police search for theft and fraud suspects (3 photos)

Halifax Regional Police are looking for two suspects after the recent thefts of money and credit cards in Halifax last week.

On February 28 sometime between noon and 1 p.m., a woman had her wallet stolen at the Halifax Shopping Centre. Her credit card was used to make several unauthorized purchases.

On March 1, another woman reported to police that some of her money was stolen while she was at the same mall.

Then a woman told police her credit card was missing after she dined at Ristorante a Mano on Lower Water Street on March 3. There were also several unauthorized charges to her card.

Police believe the same man and woman are responsible, and they are travelling through the municipality committing frauds and thefts.

Both are around 5'8″ with an average build and they may be driving a silver Volvo with Quebec plates.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
