Province’s latest update reports 12 deaths due to COVID-19

There are 12 new COVID-19 deaths to report in Nova Scotia.

According to the weekly COVID-19 dashboard update, the province reporting those deaths are from previous reporting periods.

The most recent reporting period of January 17 to 23 showed no new deaths.

Nova Scotia also reported 687 new cases confirmed by PCR tests, which averages out to 98 cases a day. 

The previous reporting period showed there were 599 new cases confirmed by PCR tests.

Since March 2020, there have been 718 deaths related to the virus.
