RCMP investigating robbery in Eastern Passage

On September 19, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at a convenience store on Main Road in Eastern Passage.

Upon attending the location, Police confirmed that a lone male suspect wearing a dark winter jacket, a black mask, a wine coloured baseball hat and carrying a black bag entered the store armed with a firearm and demanded cash and cigarettes from the employee.

The suspect was described as being a white male, approximately five-foot-eight inches tall, of medium build and in his mid twenties. The suspect fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. Nobody was injured as a result of this incident.

The investigation by the Halifax District RCMP and the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is continuing.
