A dedicated transit-only bus lane is coming to a section of Bayers Road.
The Halifax Regional Municipality says, as of Thursday, the new outbound lane between Windsor and Connolly streets will be transit-only on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
During that time, there will be no parking on the north side of Bayers Road in that area, and left-hand turns from Bayers onto Oxford Street will be restricted.
On-street parking on the south side of the street (inbound) will not be affected.
Three Halifax Transit routes -- 1, 330, and 194 -- have already been altered to take advantage of the new lane.
