Two men have been arrested after a robbery at a Primrose Street apartment earlier this week.

Around 10:30 p.m. Monday, a man says he heard a knock at his door, when he answered, a group of men forced their way in.

The victim says he recognized one of them, and two men assaulted him before the group took some of his belongings and left.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Halifax Regional Police arrested one suspect on Jackson Road and a second on Primrose Street.

Michael Douglas MacDonald, 41, and Murray Robert Timmons, 26, have been charged with robbery and aggravated assault.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016, or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
