Halifax Regional Police say two teens were hit by cars on Willett Street an hour apart on Wednesday morning.

The first incident happened around 8:30 a.m. when a female in her teens was walking west on Coronation Avenue.

Police say she ran into an unmarked crosswalk at Willett Street and was hit by a car.

She was taken to the IWK as a precaution and no charges have been laid at this point.

Then at 9:30 a.m., police say a male in his teens was struck by a car while in a crosswalk at Main Avenue and Willett Street.

No one was hurt. The 27-year-old driver has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
