It's a big day for the Halifax Wanderers and their fans.
The Canadian Premier League club is welcoming Toronto FC of the MLS to Wanderers Grounds on Tuesday evening in Canadian Championship quarterfinal action.
In an interview with the Canadian Press, Halifax coach Stephen Hart says his club is looking forward to the test.
"We're playing Toronto FC, a team with pedigree, they've won the MLS trophy," said Hart. "Any player that doesn't look forward to a game like this is lacking some sort of true emotion to be tested for his ability."
And while the hometown crowd will be cheering on the Wanderers, Toronto FC wingback and Nova Scotia native Jacob Shaffelburg of Port Williams says it will be surreal to play in front of his family and friends.
The match goes Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
