Woman dies in suspected drowning near Sherbrooke

A 57-year-old woman is dead after being found in a Guysborough County lake

A 57-year-old woman is dead after being found in a Guysborough County lake.

RCMP say two men found her in the water near West Side Indian Harbour Lake Rd. in St. Mary's Monday and called 911 at 6:40 p.m.

The pair carried her to shore and performed CPR.

She was taken by ambulance to St. Mary's Memorial Hospital in Sherbrooke where she was pronounced deceased.

Mounties say their investigation of the suspected drowning is continuing.
