The Halifax Hurricanes lost a tightly contested game seven championship on Friday night in Halifax to the London Lightning, 109-101.
The win gave the Lightning the second National Basketball League of Canada Championship in two years.
Billy White led the Hurricanes in scoring with 25 points including four of six from three.
The Hurricanes went into the championship finals as the team with the best regular season record, and claimed a third consecutive Atlantic Division Championship.
