Huskies take game one of President Cup final with 5-2 win over Mooseheads

ROUYN-NORANDA, QC. – The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies topped the Halifax Mooseheads 5-2 in game one of the President Cup finals.

The Huskies took an early 2-0 lead as Rafael Harvey-Pinard and Felix Bibeau each found the back of Alex Gravel's net. Just minutes later, Justin Barron cut the Huskies' lead to 2-1.

Noah Dobson restored Rouyn-Noranda's two goal lead on a power play but Raphael Lavoie answered right back to make it a one goal game heading into the final frame.

Harvey-Pinard extended the Huskies' lead with his second goal of the evening less than a minute into the third period. Bibeau iced it with his second goal of the evening to make it a 5-2 final for the Huskies.

Game two is set to go down Friday night in Rouyn-Noranda.
