Mooseheads defeat Sea Dogs 6-1 in final road game of the season

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Halifax Mooseheads got back in the win column, picking up a 6-1 win over the Saint John Sea Dogs.

After a scoreless first period, the Mooseheads took control in the second with Arnaud Durandeau, Ben Higgins and Jared McIsaac putting the Herd up 3-0. 

Benjamin Gagné scored late in the period to cut Halifax's lead to two but Ostap Safin answered back on a power play to make it 4-1 Halifax.

Xavier Parent and Durandeau added to Halifax's lead midway through the final period to seal the deal.

On Wednesday, the Mooseheads are back home to take on the Moncton Wildcats.
