Mooseheads force game seven with 6-1 win over Remparts

HALIFAX – The Halifax Mooseheads and the Quebec Remparts are going to game seven after the Herd topped the Remparts 6-1 Monday night.

The Mooseheads drew first blood as Raphael Lavoie gave the Herd an early 1-0 lead. Samuel Dickner tied things up for the Remparts minutes later.

After that, the Mooseheads took over as Antoine Morand and Keith Getson extended the Herd's lead to 3-1 heading into the third.

Samuel Asselin added to their lead 26 seconds into the final period. Lavoie scored his second of the evening on an empty Quebec net to make it 5-1 Halifax.

Getson netted his second of the evening on a power play to seal the deal and help force game seven.

Game seven goes down Tuesday night at the Scotiabank Centre with puck drop at 7 p.m.
