Mooseheads pick up dominant 9-0 shut out win over Titan

HALIFAX –  The Halifax Mooseheads dominated the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in an impressive 9-0 shut out victory Saturday night at the Scotiabank Centre.

The Mooseheads got off to a dominant start, with Benoit Olivier-Groulx, Marcel Barinka, Joel Bishop and Samuel Asselin all finding the back of Bathurst's net to make it 4-0 after 20 minutes.

Barinka extended the Herd's lead with his second of the evening early in the second period. Ostap Safin followed up with a power play goal to make it 6-0 heading into the final period.

Antoine Morand, along with Asselin and Bishop netting their second goals of the evening, added to the Mooseheads' already commanding lead to make it a 9-0 final.

The Mooseheads are back in action next Friday when they welcome the Saint John Sea Dogs to the Scotiabank Centre.
