The Canadian Football League is bringing a regular season game to Nova Scotia.

This year's Touchdown Atlantic will see the Saskatchewan Roughriders play the Toronto Argonauts at Wolfville's Acadia University on July 16.

The school's Raymond Field will be expanded to a capacity of 10,000 for the game and there are plans for a pre-game tailgate party with live music, food and beverages, along with activities for the whole family.

Arrangements will be made for buses to bring fans from Halifax to Wolfville.

Tickets go on sale April 26 at an average price of $50.

Teams will be arriving early to host a number of community events, including football camps and clinics.

“Touchdown Atlantic is a celebration of not only our game, but also this incredible part of the country and the people who call it home,” said CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie in a news release.

“Atlantic Canada is an important part of our CFL family, and for three unforgettable days in July, Canadian football will stand tall on the region's biggest stage.”
