Halifax police say a suspicious death that occurred at a residence in Dartmouth has been ruled a homicide.

Police say that was the conclusion of the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service, which conducted an autopsy overnight.

They say the victim has been identified as 35-year-old Alexander Joseph Frederick Thomas from East Preston, N.S.

Police found Thomas’s body early Saturday after they were called to an address on Braeside Court in Dartmouth.
