Nova Scotia man dead after highway crash involving two pickup trucks

ONSLOW MOUNTAIN, N.S. — Nova Scotia RCMP say a 35-year-old man is dead following a highway collision between two pickup trucks.

Police say they responded around 9:30 p.m. Friday to a crash on Laybolt Road in Onslow Mountain, N.S.

Investigators determined a Ford F-150 and a Dodge Ram had been travelling in opposite directions when they collided.

The 54-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance, while the other driver, who was a resident of Bible Hill, N.S., was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still to determine the cause of the crash.

The Mounties say they are being assisted in their investigation by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Office.
