SPRINGHILL, N.S. — RMCP say they’re looking to identify a suspect in a possible attempted abduction near Springhill, N.S.

Police responded to a complaint around 8 p.m. Thursday on Valley Road that a man had possibly tried to lure a three-year-old child into his car.

The child was playing with two others when their mother saw a vehicle pull up next to the children.

Authorities say the driver then yelled for one of the children to get into his car before the children ran into the house and the man drove towards Springhill.

The man is described as being in his late 40s with a clean cut appearance and a raspy voice driving an older model silver or beige Chevrolet Cruze.

Officers patrolled the Springhill area but weren’t able to locate the suspect and are asking residents to contact Crime Stoppers if they have any information.
