Nova Scotia reports 18 new COVID-19 cases, two more school exposures

HALIFAX — Health officials in Nova Scotia are reporting 18 new cases of COVID-19 today.

Twelve new cases are in the central region, which includes Halifax.

There are three cases in each of the western and northern health zones.

Officials say they have notified two more schools about COVID-19 exposures.

Nova Scotia has 199 active reported infections and 14 people in hospital with the disease, including one patient in intensive care.

Officials say they reported about 5,400 COVID-19 cases and two deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus in the province between March 15 and Oct. 13.
