1952 – 2021
Dominion
With heavy hearts we the family announce the passing of Jerry McLean, age 68, on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
Jerry was born in Toronto on October 24, 1952.
Jerry’s heart was always in Cape Breton, so when he retired him and Gail packed up their belongings and moved to Dominion. It didn’t take long for him to make friends and he became a proud member of the Hawks Club. He always spoke highly of the members as they did of him.
Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Mary (Campbell) McLean formerly of Dominion.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Gail; his sisters, Ella (Chuck), Karen (late Brian); brother, James (Tracy); nephews, Scott (Rachel), Matthew (Jen), Jeffery, Alex, Justin, Michael and great niece Ainsley.
As per Jerry’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place.
Donations can be made to the CBRH Palliative Care Unit in Jerry’s memory.
At this time, we would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who took care of him. A special thank you to Michael Burneau for his kindness and compassion towards Jerry and Gail during this difficult time. It was greatly appreciated. Michael you are a godsend and a good friend.
The next time you are sitting around they supper table, raise a glass and think fondly of Jerry.
Arrangements are under the care of the T. J. Tracey Cremation & Burial Specialists.
