A $12,500 painting was stolen from a downtown Halifax gallery in September.
The theft occurred on Sept. 29 from a gallery on Doyle Street, but Halifax Regional Police is releasing photos of the painting and suspect today.
The suspect is described as a man with dark hair and a receding hairline.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue tracksuit in the form of a hoodie and sweatpants along with black and white sneakers.
He was also wearing what appears to be a black mask.
The painting is a small 8″ x 10″ oil painting by Canadian painter Marc Aurele de Foy Suzor-Coté. It was created sometime between the late 1800s to the early 1900s and it's framed in a gold gilded frame.
