Dartmouth convenience store robbed at gunpoint, police say

The search is on for two men after Halifax Regional Police say a Dartmouth convenience store was robbed on Thursday night. 

According to police, the pair went into the Highfield Video & Variety on Highfield Park Dr. just before 9:30 last night. 

Police say one of the men pulled out a black handgun and demanded money. The pair made off on foot with money and cigarettes, heading eastbound on Highfield Park Dr. 

No one was hurt during the robbery. 

Officers and K-9 units searched the area but did not find the suspects. 

Both are described by police as men with dark complexions in their 20's, one wearing a black jacket and the other a red jacket with a brown fur-lined hood. 

Anyone with information is asked to reach out to police or Crime Stoppers.
