Fire has damaged a popular restaurant in downtown Halifax.
Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency (HRFE) crews were called out to the Stubborn Goat Gastropub on Grafton Street around 2:45 p.m. Monday, responding to a report of a fire on the main floor of the building.
HRFE says firefighters managed to knock the flames down quickly, but not before they had moved to the second floor.
The restaurant hadn't yet opened for the day and any staff inside had evacuated before fire crews arrived. There are no reported injuries.
As of late Monday afternoon, crews remain on the scene looking for hot spots.
Investigators have not yet determined a cause.
