Five in custody after gunpoint robbery at Bedford hotel, police say

Halifax police say five people are in custody after victims were robbed at gunpoint in a Bedford hotel on Thursday morning

Halifax Regional Police is investigating after an alleged robbery at a Bedford hotel on Thursday morning. 

According to police, officers were called to reports of a robbery at the Comfort Inn on the Bedford Highway just before 5 a.m. Thursday. 

Police say the suspects entered a room and robbed the victims at gunpoint. there are five people in custody and the investigation is ongoing. 

HRP adds there is no threat to public safety.
