Four men from the Halifax area died in a two vehicle crash in Pictou County over the weekend.

RCMP say the head-on collision between an SUV and a car happened very late Sunday night in the eastbound lanes of Highway 104 near Priestville.

A 51-year-old man was the only person in the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mounties say there were four men in the SUV. Three of them, aged 61, 55 and 51, died in the crash, while the fourth, a 51-year-old, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
