Halifax convenience store robbed

A man with what appeared to be a firearm robbed a convenience store Wednesday night.

Halifax Regional Police say a suspect went into the Needs on Chebucto Rd. at around 11:45 p.m. and demanded money.

He ran from the store after getting cash and cigarettes.

The suspect is described as white with a medium build. He had been wearing black shoes, grey shorts, black shirt, black jacket, red baseball cap, grey mask and gloves. 

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
